FDIC Insurance

Deposits at Vertex Trust Bank, N.A. are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), an independent agency of the United States government. FDIC insurance protects depositors against the loss of insured deposits if an FDIC-insured bank fails.
The standard insurance amount is $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, for each account ownership category. That means a single depositor can be insured well above $250,000 by holding accounts in different ownership categories — for example, single accounts, joint accounts, certain retirement accounts, and revocable trust accounts.
Insured deposits include checking, savings, money market deposit accounts, and certificates of deposit. Investment, insurance, and annuity products offered through Vertex Trust Wealth Management are not FDIC insured.
Use the FDIC's free Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator (EDIE) at fdic.gov to confirm exactly how your deposits are covered, or speak with a Vertex Trust banker for personalized guidance.
